A bit of a different log entry today because I have some exciting news. I am officially an uncle!
My brother’s partner gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this morning in Australia, and I’m extremely excited to meet her at Christmas when I visit with mum and dad.
Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to speak to either of them yet, but hope to speak to them in the coming couple of days to catch up and hear about their first few days of parenthood. I suspect they’re going to be tired and have their hands full for a while, so want to make sure they spend as much quality time with their newborn and with each other too.
It’s also an interesting time for Jamie having to manage the re-launch of the business with having a baby, but I know he will find a way to do everything extremely well and I’ll do everything I can to help too.
As a side note, this also makes my parents grand-parents now too. That’s a crazy thought. But delighted for them too, nonetheless.
